FAQs about Groups

Are groups only open to California residents?

Most of our groups are available to anyone in the U.S. and Canada because they are held virtually. Our in-person Burned Out: Somatic Skills for Anxious Professional Women Group for Busy Professional Women meets in Santa Monica, California and is not held virtually.

Are groups open to joining at any time?

Our Coping Skills Support Group is open to anyone at any time. This is a great group for those in need of a calm and grounding space to practice self-care. Our Religious Trauma Support Group, Somatic Skills Support Group, and Queer Identity and Trauma Group are all closed groups. That simply means that you start the group with everyone else and finish the 6 to 10 weeks of group therapy.

How often do groups meet?

Most of our groups meet on a weekly basis. Your group therapist will let you know if there’s a different schedule for meeting for the specific group you are interested in.

How much are groups sessions?

Our groups range from $50 to $100 per group session. Some groups are aimed at support and practicing self-care while others are more intensively educational. Each group’s price is listed above.

How do I sign up for groups?

Most groups will require that you meet with the group therapist for a 15-minute consultation before joining. After your consultation, you’ll be given a link to officially register for the group and then you’re in! Our open Coping Skills Support Group can be joined at any time. You follow the link to the registration and payment page and you’ll be emailed the information for joining the next scheduled group.

I’m overwhelmed. Where should I start?

Look through our list of incredible groups and schedule a consultation related to that group. Your group therapist will walk you through each of the steps along the way. The first step is on you though. You’ve got to schedule that consultation in order to get the ball rolling!
