Attachment Quiz

What’s your attachment style?

Do you find yourself feeling lost, confused and upset in your relationships? Do you feel like your partners just see relationships differently than you do?

We’ve created a quick and easy quiz to help you determine your attachment style. It’s free and takes just 5 minutes.

How does trauma impact attachment?

Trauma can take so much away from us. Our trauma history and attachment styles can complicate relationships, make it hard to feel connected to others, and leave us in confusing interactions. There are 3 main attachment styles (and one attachment style that is not-so-talked about because it’s rare).

Secure attachment | This is when you’ve got a lot of psychological room for supporting a partner or friend because you can hold nuance, remain calm in conflict, and you don’t tend to take things too personally.

Anxious attachment | This is when you are constantly worried about abandonment and rejection. This might leave you feel needy and emotional when it comes to romantic relationships. You feel focus on your partner’s emotional state and might look for signs that your partner is pulling away.

Avoidant attachment | This is when you feel like your independence is always being threatened in romantic relationships. You might feel worried about being overwhelmed by your partner’s drama or feelings. You might also worry that you’re going to miss out on a better relationship and find yourself fantasizing about another life often.

One thing we wish more people understood about trauma healing and attachment styles: you can’t think your way out of it. It’s important to learn about your attachment style and find a safe place to process your experiences with a trained professional.
